Main SCM expertise in CAPital EXpenditure (CAPEX) Procurement. Commandments: 1- Communicate with Project and Operator; 2- Follow up with the schedule; 3- Communicate with the subcontractors (e.g. freight forwarders); 4- Pay more attention to a contract's ancillary conditions than to the contract scope; 5- Keep record of all the communications; 6- Visit the vendors and help them help you; 7- Stay focused on the transportation phase; 8- Make sure that all the supplies are considered along the path; 9- Coach and train your team to establish a common framework; 10- Take a look at the budget and be happy when it turns out to be overestimated.
